CBC with Diff/platelet

Our Price: $45.00

Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential/Platelet.

A complete blood count (CBC) is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia.

A complete blood count test measures several components and features of your blood, including:

  • Red blood cells, which carry oxygen

  • White blood cells, which fight infection

  • Hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells

  • Hematocrit, the proportion of red blood cells to the fluid component, or plasma, in your blood

  • Platelets, which help with blood clotting

Abnormal increases or decreases in cell counts as revealed in a complete blood count may indicate that you have an underlying medical condition that calls for further evaluation.

Your doctor may check your C-reactive protein level after surgery or treatment for infections or other medical conditions. The C-reactive protein test can also be used to check your risk of developing coronary artery disease, a condition in which the arteries of your heart are narrowed. Coronary artery disease can eventually lead to a heart attack.

NMR LipoProfile

Our Price: $119.00

Nuclear magnetic resonance utilizes imaging that produces a representation of the lipoproteins found in a simple blood sample. An easy way to understand the concept of NMR technology is to compare it to the ringing of bells. When a group of bells is struck, the frequency of the sound separates the ring of one bell from another while the loudness of the sound reflects the number of bells struck. By recording the "ringing" of all of the lipoproteins in a blood sample, it is possible to identify the number and type of lipoprotein particles present.

Reverse T3

Our Price: $95.00

Reverse T3 (RT3 or REVT3) is a biologically inactive form of T3. Normally, when T4 is converted to T3 in the body, a certain percentage of the T3 is in the form of RT3. The primary stage classically presents with a single chancre (a firm, painless, non-itchy skin ulceration), secondary syphilis with a diffuse rash which frequently involves the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, latent syphilis with little to no symptoms, and tertiary syphilis with gummas, neurological, or cardiac symptoms. It has, however, been known as "the great imitator" due to its frequent atypical presentations.

Tetanus Antitoxoid Antibodies

Our Price: $45.00

This test assesses Tetanus Antitoxoid Antibody following booster immunization.

Tetanus is a nervous system disease characterized by severe muscle spasms caused by the toxin tetanospasmin that is produced by Clostridium tetani organisms. The disease is preventable by vaccination with tetanus toxoid (formaldehyde-treated tetanospasmin). Tetanus toxoid is an excellent immunogen; it stimulates development of antitetanus toxoid antibodies.

Subsequent to vaccination, a patient's immunological response may be assessed by determining the presence of tetanus toxoid antibody levels in the serum. An absence of antibody formation postvaccination may relate to immune deficiency disorders, either congenital, acquired, or iatrogenic due to immunosuppressive drugs.

Thyroid Antibodies

Our Price: $145.00

Thyroid antibody testing is primarily ordered to help diagnose an autoimmune thyroid disease and to separate it from other forms of thyroiditis. It may be ordered to help investigate the cause of a goiter and/or performed as a follow-up when other thyroid test results (such as T3, T4, and/or TSH) show signs of thyroid dysfunction.

Thyroid antibody testing may also be ordered when a patient with another autoimmune disorder has symptoms of thyroid dysfunction and/or when she has reproductive difficulties that the doctor suspects may be associated with autoantibodies.

Tuberculosis TB Gold QuantiFERON

Our Price: $75.00

The QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test (QFT-G) is a whole-blood test for use as an aid in diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, including latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and tuberculosis (TB) disease. This test was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005. It is a blood test and requires a single visit to one of our clinics or affiliate draw stations. Results can be available within 48 hours. The Quantiferon TB Gold test can be used in all circumstances in which the tuberculin skin test (Mantoux) is currently used, including contact investigations, evaluation of recent immigrants who have had BCG vaccination, and TB screening of health care workers and others undergoing serial evaluation for M. tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis - TB Test - Mantoux - PPD

Our Price: $35.00

The Mantoux test (also known as the Mantoux screening test, Tuberculin Sensitivity Test, Pirquet test, or PPD test for Purified Protein Derivative) is a diagnostic tool for tuberculosis. A standard dose of 5 Tuberculin units is injected intradermally (between the layers of dermis) and read 48 to 72 hours later. A person who has been exposed to the bacteria is expected to mount an immune response in the skin containing the bacterial proteins. The reaction is read by measuring the diameter of induration (palpable raised hardened area) across the forearm (perpendicular to the long axis) in millimeters. If there is no induration, the result should be recorded as "0 mm". Erythema (redness) should not be measured. If a person has had a history of a positive tuberculin skin test, or had a recent tuberculin skin test (within one year), another skin test should be used. The practitioner will perform a reading and provide appropriate follow-up recommendations.

This test must be performed at our clinics or at your site.
An alternative to this skin test is the QuantiFERON TB Gold blood  test.

Uric Acid, Serum

Our Price: $45.00

Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy

Our Price: $95.00

Vitamin D is a group of fat soluble prohormones that play a vital role in maintenance of bone health. It also plays a role in proper functioning of the immune system, cancer prevention and cardiovascular disease prevention. Several forms of vitamin D exist, with the major forms being vitamin D2 and vitamin D3. Vitamin D2 is not produced by the body, but is found only in the diet from fish or plants or by supplementation. Vitamin D3 is formed in the skin upon exposure to sunlight and is also found in the diet consisting of animal products.

Vitamin D levels are determined based on the serum concentration of the major circulating form of vitamin D, 25-hydroxy-vitamin D. Deficiencies in vitamin D can lead to an increased risk of bone loss or bone fractures. Recent studies have shown that vitamin D deficiency may play a role in many other diseases as well.

Westergren Sed rate

Our Price $45.00

The sedimentation rate (sed rate) blood test measures how quickly red blood cells (erythrocytes) settle in a test tube in one hour. The more red cells that fall to the bottom of the test tube in one hour, the higher the sed rate.
